Cookie Policy

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They help the site remember information about your visit — such as your language preference or consent choice — so the experience works more smoothly next time. This policy also covers similar technologies including localStorage, sessionStorage, and tracking pixels, since they serve comparable purposes and are subject to the same rules under UK PECR.

2. Why We Use Cookies

LuckySpin Social uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site running reliably, remember your preferences (such as whether you have accepted our cookie notice), and understand at an aggregate level how visitors use our games and pages. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for traffic measurement, which is privacy-first and does not build individual user profiles.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

CategoryPurposeExamplesDuration
Strictly necessary Keep the site operational. Includes session security and storing your cookie-consent choice. No consent required under PECR. __cc_v1 (consent record), __age_ok (age gate), Cloudflare security tokens (__cf_bm) Session to 12 months
Performance / analytics Anonymous measurement of page visits, traffic sources, and game-page engagement to help us improve the site. Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon (no persistent tracking cookie; aggregate only) Up to 30 days (aggregated)
Functional Remembers UI preferences — for example, whether you have muted game sounds or dismissed the welcome banner. localStorage keys for volume state, banner-dismissed flag Up to 12 months
Advertising / targeting When you arrive via a paid campaign (e.g. Google Ads), the advertising partner may set a cookie to measure ad effectiveness. These cookies are set only if you have given consent and only on ad-referred visits. Google Ads conversion cookie (_gcl_au), Microsoft Advertising UET tag (_uetsid) Up to 13 months

4. Lawful Basis (UK GDPR + PECR)

Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent — they are set on the basis of legitimate interest to keep the service functional and secure. All other categories (performance, functional, and advertising) are set only with your explicit consent, which you can grant or withdraw at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect any processing that already took place while consent was in force.

5. How to Manage Your Cookies on LuckySpin Social

When you first visit LuckySpin Social you will see a cookie consent banner with two options: Accept all (enables performance, functional, and advertising cookies in addition to strictly necessary ones) and Essential only (strictly necessary cookies only). Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key __cc_v1.

To change your preference at any time, clear the __cc_v1 key from your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage → luckyspin-social.org → delete the entry). The banner will reappear on your next visit. Alternatively, clearing all site data for luckyspin-social.org in your browser settings resets the consent record.

6. How to Manage Cookies in Your Browser

Every modern browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies independently of our banner. Use these official guides:

Note that blocking all cookies may prevent some parts of LuckySpin Social from working correctly — for example, the age-gate record and game sound preferences rely on storage in your browser.

7. Third-Party Cookies and Services

The following third parties may set cookies on this site when consent is given:

  • Cloudflare — provides DNS routing, DDoS protection, and privacy-first Web Analytics. Cloudflare may set __cf_bm (bot management, strictly necessary). Analytics data is aggregated with no individual tracking. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Google — if you arrive via a Google Ads campaign and have consented, Google may set the _gcl_au conversion-measurement cookie. This data is used only to measure ad effectiveness, not to build a behavioural profile. Google Cookie Policy.
  • Microsoft Advertising — if you arrive via a Microsoft Ads campaign and have consented, the UET tag may set _uetsid and _uetvid for conversion tracking. Microsoft Privacy Statement.

8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends a GPC header, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for performance and advertising cookies, and we will not set non-essential cookies during that session. We do not currently implement a technical check for the older Do Not Track (DNT) header, but honouring GPC is the more meaningful modern equivalent. If you rely on DNT, we recommend also selecting "Essential only" on our cookie banner.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our services. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. We recommend checking this page occasionally if you are a regular visitor.
